Freshman (2011):
Appeared in eight games with two starts as a freshman, one each at catcher and second base. Made nine trips to the plate including a sacrifice bunt against San Jose State (May 10). Made his Tigers debut on March 13 at Nevada, starting at catcher. Entered as a defensive replacement at catcher on March 25 against San Francisco. Pinch-ran and remained in the game at first base at UC Riverside (April 8). His final three appearances were as a pinch-hittter. Still looking for first hit (0-8).
High School:
A two-year letterwinner at second and third base for Granite Bay High School in Granite Bay, Calif… Hit .455 with a .500 OBP and .818 slugging percentage. Also posted a 1.000 fielding percentage… As a senior, he hit .409 with 28 runs batted in to earn First Team All-League honors as well as All-Metro Honorable Mention and All-City honors… Helped the Grizzlies to back-to-back second place finishes in the Sierra Foothill League under head coach Pat Esposito.
