Men's Golf Opens Fall Season Monday

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific golf team will open the fall season at the Ram Masters Tournament in Fort Collins, Colorado. The three-round event begins Monday at Fort Collins Country Club

The Tigers are one of 19 teams at the sixth edition of the event, joining Air Force, Denver, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Illinois State, Long Beach State, UMKC, New Mexico, Northern Colorado, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, South Dakota, South Dakota State, TCU, Utah Valley, Wichita State, Wyoming and host Colorado State.

Scheduled for the Tigers lineup are Casey Scott, Austin Fox, Anthony Madrid, Jee Horsangchai and Daniel Peña.

Kasanen and Madrid open their senior seasons for Pacific after Madrid averaged 74.57 per round last year, and Hasanen 74.80 per round. Fox and Scott return for their junior campaigns. Fox tops returning players for the 2017-18 season with a 74.00 average last year, while Scott averaged 75.00 per round

Horsangchai will make his Tigers' debut after joining Pacific from Barton Community College, where he was the 61st-ranked golfer in NJCAA Division I and put together a 74.39 scoring average.

The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at Fort Collins Country Club, a par 70, 7,218 yard course. Groups will tee off an 8 a.m. shotgun start on Monday, Sept. 18, with tee times starting at 8 a.m. for the final round on Tuesday, Sept. 19.  Live scoring will be available at GolfStatResults.com.
