Fox Leads Pacific Men's Golf At Price's First Round

EL PASO Texas - Austin Fox posted an even first round of 71 as the Pacific men's golf team opened Price's "Give 'Em Five" Invitational Friday. Casey Scott and Daniel Peña, each were one off of par at 73 in the first round.

As a team, the Tigers sit in 13th at +12 on the par 71 course at Butterfield Trail, which checks in at 7,267 total yards.

The Tigers posted two eagles on the day, as Peña shaved two strokes off par on the second hole, a 543-yard par five and Jee Horsangchai needed just two swings to cover the 343-yard, par-four 15th hole.

Horsangchai added a par on the fourth hole later in the round, but finished the round at 80, +9.

Beau Forest is at +8 through his first 18 holes, shooting an 79 on the day.

Pacific tallied nine birdies and 49 pars for the day. The Tigers sit five back of the top 10 entering Saturday's action.
