The Pacific men's golf team released its 2018-19 schedule today featuring 10 tournaments, two of which will take place in Stockton including the West Coast Conference Championships in April.
"We're excited about this year's schedule," head coach John Cook said. "We will have an opportunity to compete with the top teams on some of the best courses in the country."
The season starts with a packed schedule; the Tigers will play each week from September 24 to October 27. The season opens on September 24 and 25 in Boulder, Colorado when the Tigers will play in the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational hosted by Colorado. A week later, the Tigers head a few hours south of Stockton to take on the Nick Watney Invitational in Fresno on October 1 and 2. The Tigers close out the three-week stretch on October 8 and 9 at the Paint Brush Invitational in Denver, Colorado hosted by the University of Denver.
After a nearly two-week hiatus, the Tigers will host their lone home regular-season tournament, the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on October 25 to the 27. This year's tournament will be played at Stockton Country Club and is the final tournament of the fall season for the Tigers.
The team will have the entirety of the months of November, December and January off before kicking off the spring on February 7-9 in Waikoloa, Hawaii for the Amer Ari Invitational hosted by Hawaii.
The team will have nearly another month off before getting back into action on March 4 and 5 at the Sacramento State Invitational in Elk Grove. 10 days later, the team will return to the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix, Arizona where the team had its best performance of 2017-18 when the Tigers placed second overall by shooting even par as a team. Junior Casey Scott earned medalist honors, it was the lone individual victory of the season. On March 25 and 26, the Tigers will head to Oregon's Duck Invitational in Eugene, Oregon. Pacific closes out the regular season at the El Macero Classic hosted by UC Davis on April 12, 13 and 14 at El Macero Country Club.
With an automatic bid to an NCAA regional on the line, Pacific will host this year's West Coast Conference Championships on April 25-27 in Stockton. The host course is still to be announced by the WCC.
