Men's soccer adds four ahead of 2018 season

Pacific men's soccer announced the addition of four players ahead of the start of the 2018 season today.

The Tigers brought in two college transfers and two true freshmen to round out the roster.  Jonathan Jimenez, a junior forward, Max Bilsborough, a sophomore defender, Mamoru Kamisasanuki, a freshman forward and Brady Cooper, a freshman goalkeeper, will all join the Tigers for the 2018 season.

Jimenez spent his previous two seasons playing for Seton Hall in the Big East Conference. The Cape Coral, Florida, native made 28 starts at Seton Hall accumulating four goals and nine assists in two seasons. He was third on the team in points last season thanks to a campaign that saw him score two goals with four assists. He scored the game-winner against Villanova in Seton Hall's season finale in 2017. In 2016, he earned a spot on the Big East All-Freshman team after making 15 starts and recording two goals and five assists.

Bilsborough comes to Pacific from Division II Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, where he made nine starts and 15 appearances last season and scored one goal. Bilsborough's high school career, saw him win three Greater St. Helens League titles and earn a share of the league title once. Individually, he was a three-time All-League selection and earned All-Region and All-State honors once. In his sophomore season, he was part of a defense that allowed only four goals, tying a school-record for the fewest goals allowed in a season.

Kamisasanuki is a forward from Long Beach who played at St. John Bosco in high school and played club soccer for Pateadores of the Southwest Conference of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy system. Kamisasanuki helped St. John Bosco to the state tournament in back-to-back seasons in 2015 and 16, while as an individual, he earned spots on multiple All-League teams. For Pateadores, he started in 13 games and appeared in 27 while compiling eight goals on the season.

Pacific's final addition is Brady Cooper, a goalkeeper from Ashland, Oregon. Cooper played his high school soccer for West View and has played as a member of the Portland Timbers Academy.  Cooper enrolled in at Pacific in January and already has a semester of classes and training with the team under his belt.
