STOCKTON, Calif. - The Tigers will do battle with Saint Mary's on Saturday for their final match of the season.  Last weekend, Pacific picked up a pair of impressive West Coast Conference wins against #43 Portland and Gonzaga.

Against the Pilots, Miguel Diaz ended #124 Mike Pervolarakis' 11-game win streak in straight sets, 7-5, 6-2, to knot the match score at 2-2.  The win came down to the third set in the final match between Tadiwa Chinamo and Pierre Garcia as Chinamo hit a cross court shot that Garcia could not return in bounds giving the Tigers the 4-3 victory.

On Saturday, Pacific hosted Gonzaga where the Tigers cruised to a 4-0 victory with a doubles win from Diaz and Alex Giannini and singles points from Akram El Sallaly, Ross Watson, and Diaz.  The doubles pair of Diaz and Giannini have won their last three doubles matches together including the win that sealed the doubles point against Gonzaga.

Diaz was also awarded the WCC Singles Player of the Week on Tuesday, making it his third on the season and the program's fifth WCC weekly honors overall in 2016-2017.

In the last three regular season WCC matchups between the Tigers and the Gaels, the Tigers have allowed the Gaels to score only two points with the last two meetings resulting in scores of 7-0 and 4-0 in favor of Pacific.

The Black and Orange are 10-14 overall and 3-5 when facing WCC opponents, while also posting a 9-6 record at home.

The Gaels have lost six of their last seven contests as they are 7-15 overall and 2-6 in WCC play with only one win while on the road.  Saturday's duel will also be Saint Mary's final match of the season.

The action begins at 1 p.m. at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center where the match will also serve as senior day for Diaz, Giannini, Lance Ngo, and Kumara Pardha Adavelly.
