Sat out 2012-13 per NCAA transfer rules after joining the Tigers from the University of Arizona. Will have three years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2013-14.
“Erin is a tremendous shooter with a quick release," head coach Lynne Roberts said. "I think Erin will thrive in our up-tempo system: being able to spot up and knock down three-pointers. I think her height will be a really nice attribute for our two-guard position.”
Prior To Pacific
Erin Butler spent one season at Arizona as the 5-11 guard played 25 games, starting seven. She averaged 3.4 points per game and 11.4 minutes per contest. On the year, Butler connected on 42 percent of her three-point attempts, knocking down 24 triples. She posted nine assists, eight steals and averaged 0.8 rebounds per contest.
In her first collegiate game, Butler tallied 10 points hitting all three of her shots from behind the three-point arc while adding an assist an a steal against Georgia Southern (Nov. 11). She turned in a pair of 20-point games, with a career-best 23 against Oregon, hitting seven-of-10 three-pointers and 8-of-12 from the field on Jan. 12. Against Washington State (Feb. 16), she scored 21 points on eight-of-11 shooting, knocking down five of eight three-point attempts. Added six points against California (Feb. 2) with a pair of three pointers and two steals, and tallied another six at Colorado (Feb. 9). Chipped in five points against USC (Feb. 23).
High School
From Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Butler was a four-year letter-winner at Mission Viejo High School. She was named a three-time all-conference and 2009-10 first-team All-CIF honoree.
Personal
The daughter of Kim and Terri Butler, Erin is has two brothers, Justin and David, and a sister, Lindsay. Majoring in Communication.
