Tigers Face #2 Gaels in Second Round of WCC Championships

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The University of the Pacific women's basketball team advances to the second round of the Gorilla Glue West Coast Conference Championships to face #2 Saint Mary's on Friday, March 2. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.

The Tigers fell in both games to the Gaels during the regular season by scores of 69-70 and 88-96.

Heading into the game tomorrow, All-WCC First Team honorees Megan McKay and Stella Beck are the hot shooters for the Gaels, both averaging 15.4 and 15.3 points per game, respectively.

Defensively, All-WCC Second Team honoree Sydney Raggio leads the Saint Mary defense with an 8.2 rebounds per game average.

GeAnna Luaulu-Summers leads the Pacific offense with a 16.7 points per game average and ranks fourth in the conference. Ameela Li is second on the team with an 11.9 points per game average.

On defense, Jenelle Grant is the top defender with a 7.2 rebounds per game average.

Following the game, the winner will advance to the semifinals which take place on Monday, March 5.
