Played in six games, starting one contest. Long started the second half in five games, and in 328 minutes of action, stopped 29 of 33 shots faced, with 13 saves, a 1.10 goals against average and two shared shutouts. Made her first career appearance against Wagner on Aug. 21. Long allowed one goal on nine shots against No. 2 Stanford on Sept 12. Turned in a career-best eight saves in the Tigers’ 1-1 tie with No. 16 Cal on Sept. 19 in 65 minutes of the double-overtime contest. Turned in a shutout second half against both Montana on Sept 24, and Hawai’i on Sept. 26. Tallied three saves in a 1-0 loss to UC Irvine on Oct. 1.
High School (2009)
Long came to Pacific from Alta High School in Sandy, Utah. With a combined 74-6 record in her four years with the Hawks, Long helped lead the team to four consecutive Utah Division 5A state titles. She was an all-state selection in both her junior and senior seasons at Alta HS.
Tashia Long was born in Sandy, Utah and is the daughter of Matt and Jeni Long. She three younger siblings: Mati, Aubrey and Alexa. In her free time she enjoys long boarding and water skiing. She is a sports medicine major.
