BYU on Tap for Tigers this Week

STOCKTON, Calif. - The lone match for the Pacific women's soccer team sends them to the Beehive State to take on BYU this Thursday at 6 PM PDT. The contest will be live streamed on and can be heard on BYU Radio as well as ESPN 960 AM.

The Tigers are 4-8-3 overall this season, including 1-2 in West Coast Conference play after a 3-1 setback to San Diego this past Saturday. Bryndís Rún Thórólfsdóttir scored late in the 71st minute off an assist from Alex Hussar and Regan Heslop added six saves in the loss.

The Cougars are 4-5-3 this season,1-1 in WCC action, and are fresh off a 4-1 victory over Saint Mary's. Last season BYU won its fifth-straight WCC title and reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament . All-time the Cougars are 6-1 against Pacific, with the Tiger's lone victory coming in 1997 in a 3-2 upset of then-#22 BYU.

Pacific wraps up regular season home play on Oct. 20th against San Francisco at 7 PM, and the first 250 fans in attendance will receive a free Pacific Tigers seat cushion. Senior day will be on Oct. 22nd against Santa Clara at 1 PM, with the first 250 fans receiving a free pair of sunglasses.
