MORAGA, Calif. - The women's softball team ended their regular season in dramatic fashion on Sunday, defeating Saint Mary's by a final score of 11-0.
Pacific's win on Sunday marks it's 20th of the season, ending conference play with an overall record of 20-27, 9-6 in WCC play. SMC drops to 14-32 on the year and 2-10 in conference.
Lahners ignited the Orange and Black's scoring streak in the first inning hitting her 12th double of the season to right center for a 2-RBI shot.
Lahners would go on to add to Pacific's lead in the second with an RBI-single following a two-run single by Hailey Reed. The put the Tigers out in front of the Gaels with a 5-0 lead.
Lahners drove in her fourth run of the day off an RBI-single, scoring Maddison Hopper and giving the Tigers their largest lead of the day.
11 Tiger players recorded hits in Sunday's game, four of which recorded multiple hits. Pacific finished the day with 17 total hits.
Young also made her presence known in the pitching circle for Pacific, allowing just four hits and striking out two batters to earn her sixth win of the season.
