Tigers fall at Fullerton, 5-2

Pacific women's tennis closed out a three-match road trip today at Cal State Fullerton with a 5-2 loss.

Pacific dropped the doubles point and matches at No. 6 and No. 4 singles but rallied back with wins on court one and two to make it a 3-2 match. On court five, freshman Maya Lopez won the first set and lost in the second on a tiebreaker. Lopez battled to win and extend the match for her team, but lost to Eira Tobrand, 3-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3. The win for Cal State Fullerton clinched the match. Freshman Jacquie Tan also had an opportunity to win in her match at No. 3 singles but fell in three sets.

Senior Anneroos Nederstigt got back to 5-5 on the season with her 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles. Dohee Lee improved to 4-5 on the year with a win at No. 2 singles over Sarah Nuno, 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.

The Tigers return home this weekend with two matches, the first against Nevada at 11 a.m. on Saturday and the second against Utah State on Sunday at noon. Both matches will be played at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
