Tigers Look to Make Statement at Bronco Invite

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific cross country team heads to Sunnyvale, Calif. this Saturday for the Bronco Invitational as hosted by Santa Clara University. The 6K race begins at 9:45 AM and will take place at the Sunnyvale Baylands.

This contest will be the first in two weeks for Pacific after the Tigers battled it out at the Sacramento Capital Cross Challenge on Sept. 30th. In that 6K race, Jasmine Gonzales led the Tigers across the line for the third consecutive race as the sophomore posted a 22:05.8.  Emma Winkler followed with a time of 22:56.2 which is a personal-best, and freshman Saira Purhar came across in 23:15.0. Next followed Emily Wylie, who posted a strong 23:52.0 and Katelyn Breitschwerdt with a time of 24:48.9. Rounding out the Orange and Black was Daniella Del Toro with a time of 27:49.2. 

The Bronco Invite will be the final tuneup before the West Coast Conference Championships, which takes place on Oct. 27th at the Metropolitan Golf Links. Pacific's final regular season meet will be the Doc Adams Open on Nov. 4th before the NCAA West Regional which takes place Nov. 10th.
